FAQs
“Streaming video” refers to watching movies or television shows across your Internet connection, instead of the traditional TV subscription service. Using an app such as Sling TV or YouTube TV, you can watch your favorite programming on your TV, tablet, laptop or other connected devices.
While NHTC does not recommend any one streaming service, we do offer a chart comparison of the most popular streaming services on our website. Please understand that this chart is not all-inclusive and there is no substitute for conducting your own research to select a service and device that best meets the needs of you and your family. If you prefer a traditional TV experience, you may consider signing up for service with DISH.
You have the option to get your local channels with DISH should you decide to opt for traditional TV. An indoor or outdoor antenna will allow you to get your local channels free over-the-air. There are also some streaming services that include local channels.
More than likely not. Fortunately, NHTC offers up to 1 Gig speed Internet via our state-of-the-art fiber network which is more than enough bandwidth for any streaming option you choose.
