The Marketing Manager of NHTC, Christy Barecky, recently awarded five elementary schools in Northern Alabama with a $2,500 technology grant each to support their technological requirements.

NHTC has previously provided grants to four schools since 2022: KDS DAR Elementary School in Grant, Alabama (Marshall County); Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary School in Owens Cross Roads/Hampton Cove, Alabama (Huntsville City); New Hope Elementary School in New Hope, Alabama (Madison County), and Owens Cross Roads Elementary School in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama (Madison County).

Madison County Elementary School in Gurley, Alabama (Madison County) was a first-time recipient of the grant in 2024.

Established by the community over seventy years ago, NHTC has a strong commitment to the communities it serves. Alongside these technology grants, NHTC also provides $3,000 in academic scholarships annually and $15,000 for high school athletic sponsorships, along with various supported events and sponsorships throughout the year. NHTC will soon extend its athletic sponsorships to Madison County High School, increasing the total amount donated for high school athletic sponsorships to $22,500.

The aim of NHTC is to give back to the community, and supporting elementary schools, which are the fundamental pillars of local communities, is a meaningful way to achieve this goal. Daniel Martin, NHTC General Manager, emphasizes the importance of investing in the future of communities through elementary education.
