What Gurley Residents Can Expect During Fiber Construction
Building a new fiber network takes time, and construction will take place in phases throughout Gurley. Because NHTC will be working by construction zone, fiber availability will vary by address.
Residents may see utility markings, colored flags, construction crews, orange conduit, underground handholes or vaults and other signs of fiber construction as work progresses. Once conduit has been placed, fiber-optic cable will be pulled through the network and spliced. Fiber drops will then be run to locations on NHTC’s sign up list.
When an area is ready for service, NHTC Customer Service will contact customers to schedule their installation. Residents can follow construction progress, view the Gurley construction map, and find the latest updates on our Gurley Fiber page.

Special Savings for Gurley Fiber Customers
We’re making it even easier for Gurley residents to make the move to NHTC fiber. Current Gurley offers include savings on the first month of internet service, no installation fee, three months of Intellifi at no charge, and the first month of Whole-Home Wi-Fi free.
Intellifi gives customers additional control over their home Wi-Fi network, including the ability to manage connected devices, block content, and monitor their network.
Whole-Home Wi-Fi can help extend reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home for everything from working and learning to streaming and gaming.
We’re Investing in More than Fiber in Gurley
For NHTC, expanding into Gurley is about more than building infrastructure. It’s about becoming part of the community. In fact, NHTC began investing in the Gurley community before construction of our fiber network began.
Our community support has included assisting Graces of Gurley, a $2,500 annual technology grant for Madison County Elementary School, and a $7,500 annual sponsorship supporting varsity athletics at Madison County High School. And we’re looking forward to doing even more.
As our network grows in Gurley, we want our relationship with the community to grow with it – supporting the schools, organizations, events, and people that make Gurley special. To us, being local means more than providing internet, it means investing in the community we serve.
