NHTC is currently seeking a Security Solutions Sales and Service Technician

General Summary:

NHTC Security Solutions has an immediate opening for an Alabama Licensed Security Sales and Service Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, installation, programming and maintenance of an expanding list of Security/Smart Home products and services including Alarm Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Video doorbells, floodlights and more. This individual will be responsible for consulting with customers about Security Solutions, conducting on-site inspections, designing customized solutions, as well as performing “cold Calls” to generate new business.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivation and willingness to engage in continuous education of the Security Solutions/Smart Home Industry through reading of technical documentation, attending classes, on-line training courses, and completion of vendor certifications. Must be willing to complete some of this educational development on personal time
  • Knowledge and understanding of low voltage wiring
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation and manuals
  • Strong computer skills
  • Skill in problem solving and resolution
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to make sound business decisions


Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Two years or more experience in Security Solutions/Smart Home industry
